Jake Alexander’s Music Library

Jake is a huge fan of a cappella music. He arranges folk songs, pop songs and sea shanties, mostly in three parts and almost always unaccompanied. His arrangements balance ease and accessibility with satisfying harmonies and elegant lines for each part. He also has a collection of entertaining, intertwining rounds, often derived from literary, political, or philosophical sources, a selection of which can be found on this site along with their rehearsal tracks and optional backing tracks.
All of Jake’s arrangements are written specifically for the purpose of singing with his community choirs. Basically, if it isn’t something he would enjoy teaching, it doesn’t go in the score!
