Dan Pate’s Collection of Choir Arrangements – Sheet Music and Learning Tracks

Dan’s a capella arrangements showcase the fantastic power of the human voice, and are all about creating an exciting, impressive sound while remaining accessible and fun for all singers, regardless of experience. He aims to capture the fun of the original song and give everyone a bit of tune, but also to make each line really enjoyable to sing. He stays true to the original melody, and uses various lines from the lyrics in accompaniment parts to avoid the common accapella peril of “death by dum dum dum”! Dan’s arrangements use easy to learn, melodically satisfying lines and include repetition as much as possible, while making challenging sections “worth it” for the amazing sound they produce. Most of his arrangements are SATB, aiming to keep the ranges appropriate for amateur singers and a tenor part that doesn’t go too low for singers of any gender. He also writes for lower voices, usually in 3 part TBB. Occasional split parts and “optional extras” can be the “icing on the cake” of these arrangements, but are often not required to make a great sound.
