You Will Be Found – Sheet Music

Since the huge success of The Greatest Showman and La La Land The song writers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul have become world superstars of the craft. They certainly seem to have that magic combination of melody and lyrics that catch the ear and get to the heart of the matter in a contemporary way. The musical Dear Evan Hansen has received similar critical acclaim from public and industry alike and they look set to continue this rich vein of form with the upcoming live Disney version of Snow White and further projects.

Our arranger and chief music editor Craig McLeish has been hard at work during lockdown keeping his choirs going on Zoom and networking with other groups of choir leaders both to offer and to gain mutual support at this very difficult time for choirs. One of the groups he has particularly found affinity with is Project Get Singing, pioneered by MD Brunch.

They asked Craig to arrange a version of ‘You Will Be Found’ from Dear Evan Hansen as the flagship song for a video they were producing to encourage choir leaders to take their singers outside. At the time of recording only professionals were allowed to meet to sing, so 24 professional choir leaders met at the Tower of London to record and film this arrangement.   Click here to watch the video.

Quite by chance the rehearsal was filmed on Tik Tok by a resident of the Tower and within a couple of days had gone totally viral – to date there has been over 388,000 views with many comments about the power of choral singing and how we have missed it.  Click here to see the TikTok post.

The filmed version was the opening 2 minutes of the song – Craig has now arranged the rest of the song and here it is in 6 part a capella.

We should say now this is not a basic level arrangement so be prepared for some hard work but we think it will be worth it!

Arrangers tip – look through the whole thing first before you distribute the parts so you know where the tune is in the various sections – you will find there are important moments for all the parts but good prior knowledge will help your rehearsal go better.
