Yesterday_Full_Score - SECURE

A simple yet authentic arrangement of the Beatles classic, which Paul McCartney apparently heard in a dream.  He then went around singing it to people asking if they recognised it, and when nobody said yes he wrote it down.  The band used it in sound checks for a while using the words “scrambled eggs – O my baby how I love your legs” until Paul realised it deserved proper words, and so Yesterday was born.  Since then the song has been arranged or covered over 3000 times.

Welcome to no. 3001…

The sopranos take the tune in the verses, but in the middle 8 (bars 10-17) it is shared around between the lower voices – where the dynamic is marked mf.

It was recently featured in the film of the same name in which a young man wakes up to find the Beatles hadn’t existed but he knows all their songs and passes them off as his own.
