This was a song writing assignment on the “Innovative Choir Leading” course at RAMA (Royal College of Music, Denmark). It is based on a poem by the Canadian poet Christy Ann Martine. I wrote additional words for the second verse and the bridge. The best feedback I got was that it sounded “Very Scandinavian”!
