Here is a haunting little carol that someone gave me years ago scribbled in pencil on a bit of paper.   They don’t know where they found it and I also can’t find it on any web search.  So for now it remains Anon but my community choir really liked it. The words tell of the warmth of the stable and Mary’s love but also the pain of separation which will inevitably come.   A lovely carol with a dark side, simple to learn but very effective.

Thanks to some feedback from one of our choirs, Craig has created an alternative version with a higher tenor part (no Ebs and only one F!) which works particularly well for female tenors.  We have included both versions in this download so you can just pick which one you prefer!
