What Child Is This – Learning Tracks

View Craig McLeish's Full Store

An effective way of using a well known Traditional tune as a carol.  It is not certain that Henry VIII wrote Greensleeves at all, he may have written the poem for Anne Boleyn, but it is thought the music came later and is anonymous.

The music for verse 2 is the same in the underlying parts, except Altos Tenors and Basses hum to support the Sopranos. If a hum turns out to be too quiet, try parting the lips sightly but keeping the teeth

closed – a louder hum is achieved.

  • What Child is this

Just beautiful ancient harmonies! They sound so complex but my choir picked them up in one night. Thank you for making me look great!
