Walking On The Moon – Learning TracksView Craig McLeish's Full Store
The reggae influenced vibe of the Police is a sound many of us of a certain age remember very well – 3 innovative musicians in their own right coming together to make something really unique. This arrangement has Andy Summers’ famous guitar chords, Sting’s improvisatory vocals and the bassline, all that’s missing is Stewart Copeland’s drumming, so perhaps some light percussion might work here to keep things tripping along.
We had a lot of fun with this – the lower parts are fairly repetitive so there’s not much learning, unless you’re a soprano and you have to work hard to get all the various rhythms to synch up.
Note also that the score shows the tempo as crochet = 150. You may find this a little too fast – 130 is probably closer to the mark!
