Tomorrow Shall Be – Learning Tracks
View Craig McLeish's Full StoreAn Old English tune which has been arranged by many others including David Willcocks, John Rutter and Ralph Vaughan Williams. Its origins might stem from the Mystery Plays (the legend of my play) and it is usually sung at a lively pace. Other arrangements tend to make all the verses different. Here I have essentially used the same part whenever a voice occurs, so there
is only basically a verse and a chorus to learn, which certainly suits my own community choir! (The only slight difference is the Alto F natural in the final verse – please beware!)
The original carol has many more verses which continue to plot Jesus’ life way beyond the christmas ones so if you want to extend the story you can find those online.
