There are so many recordings of this song and when it was requested by one of my choir members I listened to lots of them! The main versions I used for inspiration were the original recording made in 1934 by Harry Reser and one by Bing Crosby & The Andrews Sisters with the cheeky ending. My choirs love singing this song – it comes together very quickly and it’s satisfying to sing!
