Royals – Learning Tracks

This is a very popular song with my youth choir – still out there and trendy a few years after it was a hit for Australian singer Lordes.  Almost a cappella all it needs is a Djembe drum on the first beat (or thigh slaps as I have indicated – although this can be difficult for some singers to do and sing!) and off beat clicks.  The parts move almost always in parallel which always sounds effective but there are some tricky variations to deal with as the song develops.  The chorus is always the same but each verse is treated differently.
