Perfect – Sheet Music
View Craig McLeish's Full StoreThe Fairground Attraction original was pretty sparse so it lended itself to this treatment. Sopranos take the Eddie Reader role, the basses sing er…. the bass, and the tenors and altos comp the very offbeat guitar of Mark Nevin who wrote the song.
Take care not to speed up in the chorus –Â we found this fairly easy to pick up – the bass pattern is the same for every section.
Altos take a starring role during the “guitar solo” before the return to verse 2 again which must be really quiet the second time before a final big chorus.  Some aural knowledge of the original might be useful here.

I only have 12 ladies but am going to try and do this song with them – a challenge for both them and me ! But it's such a great song
Lovely arrangement, great fun to sing. Fairly challenging for Sops and Altos, and quite easy for Tenors and Basses. Goes up to a G in both Sop and Tenor parts at the end which was a bit high for my crowd, but I was able to re-jig things to avoid that while keeping the same chording.
Lovely arrangement, great fun to sing. Fairly challenging in the Sop and Alto parts, Bass and Tenor are quite easy. Goes up to G in both Sop and Tenor parts at the end, which was a bit high for us, but easily re-arranged slightly to get around this.
