The Miller of Dee
A traditional English Folk song with a twist. Gitika has added a punchy little intro that features the bass on ‘river keeps rolling’. The Piece could be sung in simple three part harmony without the tenor part, which has a wordy line that adds and interesting little rhythmic lift to the piece – the running pattern of the tenor reflecting the running of the river. Very bright and breezy!

The Miller of Dee
A powerful, original & driving arrangement, the rhythms veritably throb throughout. Despite being highly impressive to the listener I was surprised by how simple & quick it was to learn. (My lot managed to vaguely stumble through it in a mere 15 mins or so). It will take much longer to perfect of course. Guaranteed to perk up any setlist!
