Maybe It’s Time (TBB) – Learning Tracks

Maybe It’s Time is a song written by Americana artist Jason Isbell and featured in the 2018 film ‘A Star Is Born’. The song is subtly positive about leaving behind the old and being open to what lies ahead.
The form of this arrangement is relatively simple, with repeating verse structures, a ‘B’ section that appears twice, and a simple ending. I usually begin teaching the rhythm of the text in each verse to familiarise singers with the syncopation and variations that result from the lyrics.
The melody is in the middle part (Baritone/alto) and the simple structure of this song makes it easy for singers to learn by ear.
