Lovely_Day_Full_Score - SECURE

I couldn’t resist making this arrangement of my favourite song from the 1970’s, written by Bill Withers and Skip Scarborough, released in 1977 and appearing on Withers’ album, “Menagerie”.

It’s a high energy piece from the start and demands a lot of attention to the rhythmic interplay between the tune (in the Sopranos, then Altos) and echoing phrases, not to mention the Basses’ guitar-like riff.

In the chorus, use the “Ba-da-ba-ba” accompaniment to anchor the lines, especially on the second and fourth beats of the bar.
The Altos split for “Just one look at you” and “Lovely Day”, top altos supplying the essential sustained note on the word “day”.
