Long Black Veil – Learning Tracks

This is a wonderful piece of haunting storytelling in the folk style.  I remember my parents singing it and heard a great version by Gillian Welch that also inspired me.  The challenge is everyone singing the words together in harmony as they change slightly through each verse.  There is a beautiful moment in the chorus where all the parts go up a fifth and should be treated in a really delicate way so the rise up in pitch goes down in volume.   It is a real favourite with all singers.
