Liquid Spirit – Sheet Music

This is a hand-clapping, foot-tapping, syncopated call to release your creativity. Gregory Porter says of the song:

“Liquid Spirit is a metaphor for water, when something is liquid it’s quick at hand so it’s like having that energy and that spirit and that soul accessible. Releasing that spirit and that energy, that’s what I’m talking about.”

In this arrangement there’s a lead voice some of the time but you can easily adapt it for a group of singers if you prefer. Each part gets a share of the gospel harmonies and your singers need to be on their toes with rhythm and timing. A good place to start would be the middle 8 to establish the feel, after that you might want to get the chorus under your belt. It’s great fun to sing so as the song says “let the liquid spirit free”.
