Easy vocal ranges & gushingly romantic! Inspired by the horrors of WW1 this song became deeply loved by soldiers of both sides of WW2. Goebbels tried to ban it, but was forced by popular opinion to recede his order. Marlene Dietrich originally recorded the song on a label secretly run by the American propaganda machine. A beautiful melody which brought comfort to millions.
