Joyful Angels – Backing Track

This is a high-energy Gospel mash-up of two traditional melodies. Many of the hallmarks of American gospel are here – semitone key changes, syncopated rhythms, staccato “hits”. The opening calls of “Joy!” set the tone, and the “Gloria” sections really showcase what your choir can do.

Although presented here as SATB, the arrangement is easily adaptable to SAT. The piano part is fiendish, but playable – the backing track is more authentic though, and it would work well with a gospel band.
