I Won’t Give Up – Backing Track

This is a great love song that straddles the pop and gospel genres. There are some great textures involved – “ooo” accompaniments whilst one vocal line takes the melody, some punchy gospel stab chords, and a flowing (and wordy!) bridge. It’s a great way to showcase the different things your choir can do. There are lots of opportunities for the altos and tenors to take the melody here too.

I really enjoyed using this backing track one week when our accompanist was ill.The cymbal crashes/percussion kept the choir in time and it built well..
