I GET A KICK OUT OF YOU FINAL SECURE
The inspiration behind this wonderful Cole Porter song was Ella Fitzgerald’s sublime interpretation. So the chorus is laid back, the melody sung richly (hopefully!) by the altos. A walking bass line keep the bass section busy. The verse can be treated in a rubato manner, the more expression and phrasing the better, this clever song deserves it.
