Homeless – Sheet Music

“Homeless” from Summmer Soul by Milton Keynes Community Choir. Released: 2013

A fun yet meaningful song which can be used on all sorts of occasions. Can be used in a concert setting or very effective at an open air festival situation. Always raises a smile from choir members and audience alike.

We suggest you start building up the parts one by one, starting with the Alto.

Knowledge of the original performed by Ladysmith Black Mambazo would be preferable here. Either the conductor or a solo tenor singer from within the choir needs to take the cantor part of Joseph Shabablala and lead the song with interjections. These direct the course of the song, whether you continue singing the repeated verse or go onto the “digging” section, where actions are appropriate. Always finish with a really slow “Homeless” verse.

  • Excellent

This has been a beautiful piece of music to learn and perform.

  • General Feedback

This is a lot of money to pay for one sheet of paper and no rehearsal tracks.
