Hernando’s Hideaway – Learning Tracks

Hernando’s Hideaway is a tango show tune from the musical The Pajama Game written by Jerry Ross and Richard Adler and published in 1954. I have always loved this song because it was a family favourite and my Mother used to love to sing it. The tenors have the tune and it needs to be sung with maximum drama. The soprano and alto harmonies need to be smooth with a strong sense of the first beat of the bar, good crescendo / diminuendo and clear articulation. The arrangement is for all-female groups.
