Happy Together – Sheet MusicView Craig McLeish's Full Store
A real favourite from almost one hit wonders the Turtles, recorded originally in 1967. The tune starts with the Sops and then moves to the Altos for verse 2, so good balancing between your parts is vital.
The extra part at the end should use, as it says, “a few voices from each part”. This keeps everything else going while the repeated tune grows as if from nowhere. Crescendo as much as you can and give a very good signal when it’s your chosen “last time”!
The arrangement itself is great, but the reduced score makes it a challenge for some choir members to follow – not the quality I’d expect – extra work for the leader.
