Gratias Tibi – Sheet Music

This piece is dedicated to “the everyday heroes”, and is a way of saying “Thank you” to all those who keep us going, whether that is materially, emotionally, practically or spiritually. The Latin phrase “Gratias tibi” is paired with its English translation “Thank you” to form to entirety of the lyrics, making it a powerful statement of thanks.

Written for unaccompanied SATB choir, there is a simplicity to the structure and words that belies the slightly more complex harmonies. This song really benefits from a lovely, resonant acoustic. Let the phrases breathe, take your time, and say a quiet “thank you” to those who most deserve it.
