The Gospel Train – Resources Pack

Remember all the old spirituals and gospel songs you sang in your school assembly? Songs about trains, shoes, robes, chariots, rivers, all day to day imagery but which have deep resonance and a rich history. Children also love these songs, and there are plenty of opportunities to make up actions. This has been performed at the Young Voices concert series twice, in 2000 and again with this updated version in 2015.

This complete resources pack aimed for school choirs who want to re-live the experience (or try the song for the first time) contains the following elements:

• Full learning and backing tracks in MP3 format
• Lyrics sheet and teaching notes
