From A Distance – Learning Tracks

An arrangement for adult choir with children’s choir – the children’s part could be sung by a few sopranos.

I arranged this when I heard it being sung on the radio by Nanci Griffith who had sadly died in August 2021. She sang the words with deep emotional commitment which I loved.

I taught it to my choir amid the news of the war in Ukraine which gave the words even greater poignancy.
