Freedom is Coming – Learning Tracks

This popular song from South Africa started with a more religious connotation but has been used widely in a more political context.

The demonstration has only two verses but many more could be added. Very easy to learn this is one of those songs which you can virtually perform after 5 minutes. Those South African traditional harmonies always sound very effective.

Always good to have a few things that can be easily learned in one session, and this one was just the ticket. Mostly predictable (in a good way!) with some nice syncopation to spice it up.

These learning tracks are sung with heart. They are easy to remember and can be learnt in one session or even just for homework. I like to copy and paste a song like this to my choir email list after a rehearsal and it gives them something to come back next week with that is completely new and fresh.
