The Drunken Man – Sheet Music

This lively folk song is about a couple who have got married, but as you can see from the title, things might be awry. The song tells the story of how the wife sorts out her drunk husband. I happened to arrange this the week before I got married to my husband. I should say at this point that this is not a cry for help from me – my husband is not a Drunken Man!!

Chord symbols are given for a simple ukulele/guitar accompaniment, although the ukulele/guitar can be used to good effect to add to feeling of chaos in the fighting verses! The dynamics are important in this arrangement, adding to the storytelling nature of the song.
