Don’t Stop Me Now – Sheet Music

Queen’s showstopper really exploits your choir’s dynamic and rhythmic range, taking the audience on a wild ride from quiet, slow introspection to reckless joy and back again. Unusually, this arrangement gives much of the tune to the basses, allowing them to show off their most beautiful, tuneful singing. Altos also have some of the melody, with sopranos mostly harmonising above the tune, and tenors filling in the chords.

Pay attention to who has the tune throughout – manage the dynamics well in the individual parts, so the audience can keep track of the melody line as it gets passed around. You can add finger clicks in the ‘don’t stop me, don’t stop me’ middle 8, if you like.
