You can start this shanty fairly straight and play with each verse a little more as it goes along.  Play with tempo and embellishments on the scale going up, add extra notes, slow it down, just have fun with it!  All the choruses can be slightly different as long as someone is leading the changes.  You could even have a lung capacity contest to see who can hold the last note the longest!

Kashmir is a species of rose in this song, not the place.  This shanty is from Cornwall where you may know there are no mountains – there are jokes about the Cornish always exaggerating!  Tradition has it that you are supposed to make up new verses every time you sing the song, so one to get creative with!
