Blue Moon (TBB) – Learning Tracks

I wrote this 3-part arrangement of the classic Rodgers and Hart song from 1934 for a small group of singers who were beginning to enjoy performing together. While the tenor has the tune at the start, the other 2 parts have plenty of opportunity to shine with expressive, lilting phrases that echo the tune. There is lots of dynamic contrast, and opportunity for expressive singing. The two lower parts divide in the closing bars to give a delicious final chord.
