Because The Night – Sheet Music

Fancy a visceral, rocking power anthem? You’ve come to the right place. You really need to hear this sung by a big group with an attitude. The song veers from seduction with a hint of menace (altos and basses that’s you!) to the wild abandon of the bridge (sopranos and tenors) to the triumphalist chorus where I like to add alternate stamps and claps on the beat. Context is everything and when my LGBT+ choir sang this song (following a well publicised incident of homophobia), it took on an air of pride and solidarity. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
