All Shall Be Well – Learning Tracks

I wrote this short piece in September 2021 to teach at one of my Heart & Soul Singing Retreats at Parcevall Hall in the Yorkshire Dales. This was the first one here since the start of the pandemic. A few weeks before this retreat I knew that all the participants were women, hence the scoring! This is a reflective setting of the familiar words of Julian of Norwich, paired with lines from Emily Dickinson’s poem “Hope is a thing with feathers”. It has plenty of repetition and memorable musical phrases for a quick teach!
