New Publishing Rights Secured

I have a very exciting announcement to make this week!  We have secured the worldwide digital publishing rights to two original works by Craig McLeish which have been unavailable to us up to now as the rights are owned by Novello.   We are very grateful to Music Sales Limited for negotiating the licence with us!

The two pieces are very different, but both are absolutely beautiful works so I am delighted we are able to offer them now through ChoirCommunity.

The first is “I’ve Known Rivers” which is a substantial choral work, suitable for the more experienced choirs among you.  It is a musical setting to a poem by Langston Hughes, the first black American to earn his living from writing.  The whole work is split into five pieces which are available separately, as well as altogether as one complete piece.

Click here for the link to the product page where you can find out more about the piece and also hear excerpts from a recent recording made in Manchester.

The second piece is Craig’s setting of a Gaelic Blessing for upper voices (SSA).  This is more suitable for youth and community choirs and a great introduction to singing simple contrapuntal lines.

The link to the product page can be found here.

We are continuing the work on more clearances at the moment and should have a third batch of titles out on the website soon.  In the meantime, why not take a look at our online catalogue and download something to try out with your choir!
