ChoirCommunity Joins Up With Making Music

I’m very pleased to announce that we’ve set up a new partnership with Making Music, the UK’s largest organisation supporting leisure-time music of all types. With a membership of over 3200 groups representing about 180,000 amateur musicians around the country.
Initially, we are offering a discount to members of the organisation and will be popping up on their blog from time to time with some words of our own. Why not take a look at the site and see if it can offer something for you? (makingmusic.org.uk).
The organisation also supports many musical projects up and down the country including one called ‘Adopt a Composer’. This is where an amateur choir or orchestra adopts a new up-and-coming British composer, who writes an original composition specially for the group which is then performed to the public.
Making Music have offered for us to be the publishing platform for all the choral composers in the scheme and we are currently working to bring their work, including the back catalogue from the project to the website. Watch this space for developments!
